We inform you that, starting from October 21, 2024, carriers will introduce a congestion surcharge for all land transport services to and from the Port of La Spezia.
This fee is in addition to the one already introduced in June for the Port of Genoa.
What is the Congestion Fee?
It is an additional charge that road transport companies have decided to apply to each journey with origin/destination in the port basins of Genoa and La Spezia.
Why is the Congestion Fee imposed?
The Ports of Genoa and La Spezia are currently involved in a critical situation impacting the regular performance of transport cycles, causing disruptions for which road transport companies are currently responsible. The congestion fee is a tool to ensure that contracting companies participate in the additional costs generated by the disruptions caused by the operations of the Terminals.
In the interest of transparency, D.B. Group will duly indicate the surcharge as a separate item on the invoice.
