The situation involving Europe is impacting also the Italian domestic routes from/to ports, airports, freight terminals, and logistic hubs, making the scenario critical and causing great uncertainty.
Due to the continuous increase in the price of fuel and to the general unpredictability caused by factors that are out of our control, the national carriers will apply an Emergency Fuel Surcharge with immediate effect, to guarantee the continuity to road transport services.
We have chosen to be as transparent as possible. For this reason, the surcharge for the domestic routes related to the sea, air, and train services will be updated on a fortnightly basis (every 15 days) according to the fluctuation/variation in the price published by the MISE (Italian Ministry of Economic Development), which is brought up to date every 15 days too.
Until March 22, the adjustment of the cost of fuel impact on road transport costs is 9.63% (with respect to a variation in fuel cost equal to 30%).
The next update will be published on March 22, it will come into effect on March 28 and will be valid for the next two weeks.
This method will be adopted until the stabilization of oil price.
