We inform you that as of today, October 1, a major strike has begun at ports along the US East Coast. A large number of dockworkers are participating in this strike, protesting for improved working conditions and higher wages.
Due to this situation, we anticipate significant delays in port operations. This may impact maritime traffic and supply chains, potentially causing delays in deliveries and shipments.
We are closely monitoring the situation and working on alternative solutions to ensure the smooth progress of your shipments.
We will keep you updated on any developments regarding the strike and its impact on our operations.
Please feel free to contact your dedicated sales representative for any questions and to learn about the solutions already available to you.

We inform you that no agreement has yet been reached between the two parties involved, the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX). The possibility of a strike starting in October therefore remains very real.
We suggest contacting your designated sales representative for additional details regarding the current state of affairs and potential alternative courses of action.
19 September 2024
We inform you about the ongoing negotiations in the United States between the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX), which could potentially impact operations at East Coast port terminals if an agreement is not reached between the parties.
The ILA has met with its delegates to discuss contractual demands in order to secure a new agreement by September 30th. Among the primary demands are wage increases and improved pension benefits.
As of now, there are no signs of a mutually agreed-upon decision, therefore potential disruptions and service suspensions may occur starting in October.
Our teams are continuing to closely monitor the situation and we will keep you updated on further developments.
