New security regulations for air shipments to the USA

We inform you of new and extraordinary security measures implemented by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for air shipments to the United States, effective September and October. These measures are due to the current geopolitical situation.

Specifically:

• TSA has mandated a declaration evidencing the stable relationship between the Freight Forwarder and the Sender. Such relationship must be proven by documented exchanges, payment histories, collection of personal data, business licenses/registrations (including the Sender's bank details), and a signed agreement with the Freight Forwarder citing the start date of the business relationship.
• CBP has introduced an upgrade to the advanced data transmission platform. Including additional data such as the name and role of the contact person at the Sender's company, email address, IP address, and a detailed description of the materials being shipped, are now required.

D.B. Group has successfully implemented these new standards in our compliance procedures; a testament to our commitment to efficiently insert all required data and documentation in the updated security platforms.

To avoid shipment delays and to prevent blockages and penalties, we are asking our customers to collaborate on the following:

Provide us with the requested information and necessary documentation including a signature on the shipping order and confirmation of the bank details if the shipment falls within the required cases.

The implementation of these extraordinary security procedures forces us to apply a minor extra fee for the management, production, and storage of the required documentation, with the item name “Special Security Procedure TSA/CBP”.
