Following our previous communications on this topic, we inform you that the additional tariffs on certain articles in steel (25% ad valorem) and aluminum (10% ad valorem) set by President Donald Trump, will be effective starting from today, 1st June 2018 also for goods with European Union origin.

The implementation of additional tariffs on steel and aluminum articles follows the announcement made by President Trump on March 8, 2018, of a 25 percent tariff on steel imports and a 10 percent tariff on aluminum imports and the subsequent proclamations of April 22 and April 30, 2018.
As no further proclamations on deferments have been issued, the new actions on goods with origin in European Union, Canada and Mexico are completely effective starting from today.
